But Sensui was already suffering from an incurable illness, and after taking Yusuke's Spirit Gun his life comes to an end. Though he hated humanity to the core, in his final moments he falls as if entrusting everything to Yusuke. As the incident closes, Yusuke is confronted with the shocking truth that he was never truly human but a demon descended from Raizen, a king of the demon world. He returns to daily life in the human world, yet the existence of Raizen, who has vanished as if into thin air, begins to draw him back toward the demon realm. The story turns sharply from the close of the Spirit Detective saga into a new chapter set in the demon world.
