Border's supreme commander Kido issues an order to capture Yuma, the boy holding a Black Trigger. Jin is sent to carry it out, and tension spikes as he heads for Yuma. Even within the organization, opinions split over how Yuma should be handled. Amid all this, the true reason Yuma came to this world and the past he has kept hidden finally come to light. As the bond with his father and the meaning locked inside the Black Trigger are revealed, the heart of the story comes into focus.

Far from being captured, he is welcomed as an ally, and the bonds between Osamu, Yuma, Chika, and Jin solidify.
