Having barely survived a string of disasters, Kazuma's party finally hopes to catch a breath, only for a new oddball to appear: Yunyun, daughter of the Crimson Demon chief and Megumin's self-styled rival. As Darkness prepares to sacrifice herself for her family, Kazuma objects. Feigning indifference, he nonetheless moves to help her. The bond between these misfits and Darkness's resolve intertwine, driving the story hard toward the next volume's Darkness rescue arc.
