An emergency quest with the whole town's survival at stake falls on Kazuma's party. The Destroyer's fortress-grade core shrugs off ordinary attacks. Kazuma uses his knack for strategy to find an internal infiltration route and plans to crack the outer shell with back-to-back explosions from Megumin and Wiz. Aqua clears footholds by purifying and dispelling barriers, letting the party close on the core. In the end Kazuma uses Drain Touch and Steal to hijack control of the core and halt the rampage. The town is saved and the hopeless party is hailed as heroes, but amid the chaos Kazuma steals a certain woman's underwear, so even after the crisis passes, his disgrace lingers.
