During the bicycle-practice chapter, Yotsuba keeps getting back up no matter how many times she falls, worrying and unnerving the adults around her while she slowly learns to ride. Her growth is so endearing that you end up watching over her like a proud parent yourself. Her back-and-forth with Yanda is as chaotic as ever, and watching Yotsuba genuinely get mad and try to one-up him is simply hilarious. No big incident occurs. Even so, every time Yotsuba masters one new thing, you can truly feel her world widen just a little—a gentle volume through and through.
