In this volume Baji stabs himself, risking his life to protect the bond between Mikey and Kazutora. As he dies, he entrusts Toman and Chifuyu to Takemichi and, with his final breath, warns him one last time of how dangerous Kisaki is. Though he loses his best friend, Mikey holds back and spares Kazutora, and the worst future is averted. Bloody Halloween ends and Kazutora turns himself in. Carrying the regret of failing to save Baji, Takemichi renews his vow to defeat Kisaki and returns once more to the present.
