Having won the national middle school tournament twice in a row, the Generation of Miracles bloom even further in their second year. But their overwhelming power creates an unbridgeable gap with everyone around them, and cracks slowly spread through a team for whom winning has become routine. Amid this, Murasakibara, sensing a decline in Akashi's dominance, rebels and challenges him one-on-one. Cornered, Akashi awakens to another personality and transforms into an absolute ruler. Yet it is that very awakening that decisively drives the once-unshakable Teiko basketball club toward collapse.
