Daki, the courtesan demon who has long ruled the district, absorbs the sashes she once shared out and, with vastly greater power, turns on Tanjiro. He fights back desperately with the Hinokami Kagura, but the demon's Upper Rank regeneration pushes him beyond his limits. When Tanjiro falls, Nezuko awakens to take his place, and Tengen, the Sound Hashira, joins the front line. Yet even cutting Daki down does not end it: this demon hides another "true body." Tanjiro finally severs Daki's head, but the demon does not die. Her brother Gyutaro emerges from her back, and it is revealed that the two of them together are Upper Rank Six. To defeat these sibling demons, both must be beheaded at the same instant, forcing Tengen, Tanjiro, Nezuko, Zenitsu and Inosuke into an all-out fight. Gyutaro's blood sickles and poison break their formation, and as Tengen is poisoned and cornered, a moving scene sees Tanjiro calm the rampaging Nezuko with a lullaby. Everyone stakes their lives on the coming showdown.
