Just as Otae sets out to rebuild the Yagyu dojo her late father left behind, a long-missing figure from the school's past resurfaces. He returns wielding a bizarre, almost science-fiction style of swordsmanship, and with it comes a secret grave enough to threaten the very survival of Earth. Gin and the Yorozuya are dragged into the mess, alongside a side story about Sadaharu running away from home.
