In the ski arc, staple crises pile up on the snowy peaks, from getting lost to an avalanche to a rampaging robot, and it settles into the usual team-up: the Shinsengumi and the Yorozuya butt heads yet end up watching each other's backs to escape disaster. The shogun cuts a pathetic figure at key moments but stays lovable, and the serious threads are never pursued far. The dating-sim chapter goes all in on the absurdity of a cast that can't tell reality from fiction, while the text-message chapter is textbook everyday gag comedy where a trivial misfire blows up into catastrophe. No major plot advances, but the polish of the character banter makes it a reliably fun slice-of-life volume.
