Nyonta reunites with its mother and old companions back home, but realizes in the end that the days spent with Bond and the others are its true place to belong, and returns to the Kaneda household of its own will. Even the moving reunion scene lands on a howling punchline thanks to Roboco's off-the-scale reaction, so tears and laughter come crashing in by turns. The back half rolls through seasonal bits and Meiko-focused chapters, and as always Roboco's power half-wrecks the town. Blending laughs and warmth just right, it's a thoroughly satisfying volume in true series fashion.
